Terms of use
Last updated 14 October 2026.
These terms apply when you use Bugnik (bugnik.com). By creating an account or using the site you agree to them. They're written to be read: if something is unclear, email support@bugnik.com.
What Bugnik is
Bugnik is an independent practice platform for repository-style debugging assessments. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any employer, hiring platform or assessment provider. Every problem is original. Practising here doesn't guarantee any result in a real assessment or interview.
Bugnik is in beta and free to use during the beta. Features, problems and limits may change, and we'll say on the site before anything that is free today becomes paid.
Your account
- You sign in with Google, GitHub or an email link. Keep access to that account or address secure.
- One person per account. Don't share it or sign in as someone else.
- You need to be at least 16, or have a parent's or guardian's permission.
- You can ask us to delete your account at any time (see Privacy).
Your code
The code you write in the editor stays yours. You let us store it, compile it and run the tests on it so the site can save your work, grade your submissions and show your history. We don't publish it or sell it. How we handle your data is described on the Privacy page.
Our content
The problems, starter code, tests, hints, editorials and the site itself belong to Bugnik. You may use them for your own practice. Please don't copy, republish or sell them, share hidden tests or solutions, or scrape the site.
Fair use
When you use Bugnik, don't:
- try to break out of the sandbox that runs your code, attack our servers or other users, or use the graders for anything other than solving the problem (for example mining, network scanning or sending spam);
- try to read hidden tests, other users' data or anything you weren't given access to;
- get around the usage limits (for example by creating many accounts), or overload the site on purpose;
- break the law, or upload anything harmful or that you don't have the right to share.
If you find a security problem, please tell us at support@bugnik.com instead of testing it further. We may limit, suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
Availability and limits
We try to keep Bugnik running and your work safe, but the site is provided “as is”, without guarantees that it will always be available, error-free or that grading results are exactly what a real assessment would give. Keep your own copy of anything important. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, or for losses caused by using or being unable to use the site.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the product changes. If a change matters, we'll note it on the site; continuing to use Bugnik after that means you accept the new terms. These terms are governed by the laws of India.
